Now-Again reissued six essential albums from the ’90s Memphis Rap scene in 2024, each licensed directly from the artists. This is the seventh, a classic by the scene’s center, Kingpin Skinny Pimp and his Gimisum Family and their self-titled album, recorded in 1994.
This album, like all Memphis Rap titles reissued by Now-Again, were originally released on rare tapes, only distributed in and around Memphis. This is the first time this album appears on LP; and is pressed on limited edition galaxy silver & clear colored vinyl, and comes in an OBI wrapped jacket that contains an over- sized 12 page book that details the historical precedent, genesis and arc of this important American musical scene.
