DESCRIPTION
A wonderful opportunity to own two monuments of vocal jazz on one 7-inch single. ‘The Creator Has A Master Plan’ was first recorded by Pharoah Sander – with Thomas on vocals - on his album ‘Karma’ in 1969 and became an underground hit and spiritual jazz classic.
When Thomas signed to Flying Dutchman he recorded a new version, which was released on a single. Around the same time Louis Armstrong recorded his version for the Flying Dutchman subsidiary Amsterdam with some help from Thomas. It is a beautiful version and 100 years from his first release we should be proud to release these. Both sides feature the original 7-inch edits, neither of which have been previously reissued.
