Arriving at the latter end of reggae dub’s golden era, Majestic Dub is exemplary of King Tubby’s skill at turning dub into an art form. Joined at the desk by Prince Jammy (mixing) and overseen by Bunny Lee (producer), Tubby took the most out of riddims supplied by a crack squad including Sly & Robbie, Jackie Mittoo, and foundational players such as The Upsetters’ Earl Chinna Smith and Skully, among others.
Officially out of print for 40 years, this 10-tracker is now available again on its original format, playing it deep, heavy and melodic with an all-killer-no filler-selection.
