The time has finally come: Masterminds Eric "Shrizz" Rohner and Maze K. have completed the highly anticipated experiments in their space lab. The result? Freshly discovered Martian-Funk, which they garnish with rock and jazz elements whilst combining them to a highly explosive musical space trip, operated under the name of Shrizz N Maze.
George Clinton, the Godfather of Funk himself, gives his personal blessing appearing as a guest on the sloppy dope track "Heredity". Other internationally known artists such as Amp Fiddler from Detroit (George Clinton) and Greg Boyer (Prince, Clinton, Maceo Parker) feature on the album alongside many other guest musicians. Dope Frequency was recorded and produced over the last three years in various studios from Bern to Paris to the USA. With their furious performance at the sold-out, renowned Parisian club "New Morning" on March 11, 2023, Shrizz N Maze launched the Dope Frequency concert tour, which has so far taken them to France, Switzerland and Spain . On board a live band can be witnessed, consisting of experienced musicians of the Parisian scene (Malka Family, Juan Rozoff, Ceux Qui Marchent Debout).
Dope Frequency is not only a highly innovative and varied masterpiece, it also tells the science fiction saga of two space warriors by the name of Shrizz and Maze. Together they fly through the galaxy on board their spaceship "The Dopestar" in search of the legendary Dope Frequency, pursued by their mysterious adversary the "GZPCHO Police". In the spectacular music video for the second single release "True Love", a first episode tells their journey to Mars and the adventures they experience there.
