-Team Demo is the DMV-based production crew, most notably known for producing 50 Cent’s RIAA Gold certified single, “Crime Wave” taken from his sophomore studio LP, The Massacre.
-In addition to 50 Cent, Team Demo has amassed an impressive discography that includes production credits for the likes of Brand Nubian, Tha Alkaholiks, Kurious, Sauce Money, Ras Kass, Wais P, as well as the late Sean Price, among several others.
-The 10 track LP boasts a noteworthy line-up of guest appearances that includes Method Man, MC Eiht, Nems, Rome Streetz, Skyzoo, Vado, Lil Fame (M.O.P.), Planet Asia, Ras Kass, Termanology, and many more.
Team Demo continue their incredible hot streak of the past few years with a hard-hitting new album, It’s a Demo, featuring raw production and dope guest features. The legendary DMV production crew is joined by the likes of Method Man, Skyzoo, Rome Streetz, Planet Asia, and Ras Kass for a record full of banging beats and slick lyricism. What’s even more impressive about this project is that it arrives on the heels of another Team Demo release, this past spring’s The Essential Team Demo LP. It served as a reintroduction of sorts for the crew and it compiled previously released tracks from their 12” singles and full length—all remastered. On top of that, they’re doing it all independently, which Team Demo admits is challenging but well worth it. “Doing this independently is a lot harder than people think, but is also more rewarding,” Team Demo says. “Betting on yourself is always the best bet.” And with It’s a Demo, Team Demo is blessing hip-hop heads with an all-killer, no-filler project that kicks off with the grimy “Quest Love Bounce,” which in addition to guest appearances from lyrical heavyweights Skyzoo and Planet Asia, find both Wais and Yogi reunited once again after their recently released high season anthem, “Timbs in the Summer.” They both appear on Team Demo’s favorite track, the grimy “Quest Love Bounce,” which features none other than Skyzoo and Planet Asia, too. As for Wais, he wanted to shout out “Creep” with MC Eiht and Montage One. “It's got such an authentic old-school and West Coast vibe,” he says. Other standouts include “Camera Flash (feat. Illa Ghee, Wais P & Method Man)” and “What You Don’t See (feat. Lil Fame of M.O.P. & Nems).”
