DESCRIPTION

In the Jungle Groove documents James Brown's funk at it's most stripped-down and rhythm-focused. Built around extended grooves like "Funky Drummer," the album emphasizes repetition, feel, and interplay over conventional song structure. The result is a hypnotic listen that highlights Brown's band as much as his leadership, and underscores why these recordings became foundational to funk, sampling culture, and modern rhythm-driven music. Now in limited edition Red Transparent vinyl.
