MC Thick, The Show Ain’t Over Till The Fat Man Swings

(0 review)
1LP - RAREBREED
1993 => 2026

- MC Thick’s The Show Ain’t Over Till the Fatman Swings was originally released in 1993 on Big Beat/Atlantic Records, following his underground 1991 regional single “Marrero (What the Fellas Be Yellin).”
- MC Thick was a Marrero, Louisiana rapper whose gritty, street-level storytelling stood apart from the dominant bounce scene in early ’90s New Orleans.
- This project hasn’t been on vinyl for decades, making this reissue the first time collectors can own it on wax in a long time.
- Limited to 500 copies total. No repress planned. In stock and shipping now. (369 remaining at time of submission)
- Fully remastered, pressed on black vinyl, with a full-color jacket and printed insert.
- Strong appeal to Southern rap fans and underground collectors because of its historical relevance and scarcity.
- The original album and tracks like “T.H.I.C.K.” feature production work involving T-Ray (Todd Ray), a producer also known for work with Cypress Hill and other respected hip-hop acts of the early ’90s.

DESCRIPTION
Originally released in 1993 on Big Beat/Atlantic, MC Thick’s The Show Ain’t Over Till the Fatman Swings followed his 1991 underground single “Marrero (What the Fellas Be Yellin)” and marked a defining moment for the Marrero, Louisiana rapper. While early ’90s New Orleans was dominated by bounce, MC Thick stood apart with gritty, street-level storytelling and a raw, unapologetic voice. Featuring “T.H.I.C.K.” and production work involving T-Ray (Todd Ray), known for his work with Cypress Hill, the album remains an important piece of Southern rap history. Fully remastered and pressed on black vinyl, this is the first vinyl availability in decades. Housed in a full-color jacket with a printed insert, it is limited to 500 copies worldwide. No repress planned. In stock and shipping now. Once they are gone, they are gone for good.
