This is a tribute 7 inch release to the queen of rhythm and blues from the showa era of Japan, Akiko Wada. On each side, Nagisa Yoko and Onishi Yukari and Shin-sekai originally resurrected the sounds of the first wave of Japanese R&B ballads at the turn of the century on Akiko Wada’s 35 year anniversary CD cover release “Ano Kane wo Narasu no ha Atashi” in 2003. On side A Nagisa Yoko is accompanied by percussionist Chito Kawachi for a funky remake. On Side B the original latin groove ballad “Natsu no Yoru no Samba” gets a funk rock remake with heavy guitars and a hammond organ. P-VINE is bringing these covers into the new Japanese Reiwa era with its first physical analogue edition.
