DESCRIPTION
Crazy Noise is the 1989 debut album by New Haven, Connecticut rapper and producer Stezo. After being a dancer for hip-hop group EPMD, Stezo signed a solo record deal with Sleeping Bag/Fresh Records and recorded this debut album. It features two charting singles: "Freak the Funk" and "It's My Turn”, plus fan favorites “To The Max” and “Bring The Horns.” Crazy Noise is chock full of crafty rhymes and original loops, and Stezo was the first person ever to use some of these more notable loops. Stezo died in his sleep on April 29, 2020, leaving behind a legacy begging to be properly commemorated. This reissue is one step in that process. Crazy Noise is an overlooked and underappreciated album that serves both as a time capsule for hip-hop’s late 1980s golden era, and a lesson in keeping it real. An overlooked detail is that the album was mixed and engineered by the late great Paul C, who also produced for the Ultramagnetic MCs, Biz Markie and, Eric B and Rakim.

DESCRIPTION
With an ever-growing horde of rappers clamoring for attention, manifesting a successful long-term career in hip-hop has become an almost supernatural achievement, reserved for artists with near-mystical talents. Atlanta emcee Tha God Fahim embraces this role, positioning himself as a divine warrior with lyrical powers transcending this earthly realm, battling dark forces with tactical ingenuity and relentless dedication. This artistic vision has become even more vivid in recent years, culminating in the wildly creative series Hyperbolic Time Chamber Rap with acclaimed producer Nicholas Craven. Inspired by the anime phenomenon Dragon Ball and its conception of a dimension unconstrained by the rules of time, Fahim and Craven just concluded the ambitious endeavor with a staggering fifteen volumes released in only eight months. Taken collectively, Hyperbolic Time Chamber Rap forms a vital entry in Tha God Fahim's catalog, blending gritty narratives of hustle and hardship with intergalactic rhyme wizardry. Fahim's stratospheric ambitions are elevated by exquisite production from Nicholas Craven, known for his work with Roc Marciano, Mach-Hommy, Westside Gunn, Conway, Boldy James, Pink Siifu, and more. After a limited release on Bandcamp, Nature Sounds is now rolling out the Hyperbolic Time Chamber Rap series on vinyl. This pressing of volume 1 contains the full collection on side A, with the accompanying instrumentals on side B.

DESCRIPTION
Return Of The Funky Man is the second album by New York legend Lord Finesse. Originally released in 1992, this album was highly anticipated after his debut on the scene just a few years prior. Having already established himself as a punch-line king capable of humorous storytelling, Return of the Funky Man cemented Finesse as a top-notch producer. Tracks such as “Fat for the 90s” and “I Like My Girls With A Boom” showed the Funky Man truly living up to his name, both on the mic and behind the boards. After the gruff-voiced “Lord Finesse Intro”, the album goes on a nonstop journey of witty wordplay over genre-defining boom bap beats. Along for this ride, Finesse brings D.I.T.C. brethren Showbiz and Diamond D on the production side (plus Aladdin & SLJ) while AG and (at the time) newcomer Percee P share mic duties. Topically, Finesse doesn’t stray too far from reminding us why he’s earned the title The Funky Man. Whether it's bragging and boasting, or breaking down females, he has a way of doing it with a tongue-in-cheek type way that is sure to have you letting out a laugh or two every couple of lines. He possesses that rare quality of being a solo MC that is capable of entertaining throughout the entire hour plus listening experience. Standout tracks such as “Yes You May”, “Stop Sweating the Next Man”, and “Party Over Here” all show why this album was instantly praised by fans and critics alike.

Rasco’s Time Waits for No Man stands as a cornerstone of West Coast underground hip- hop, blending unflinching lyricism with top-tier production and a reverence for the culture. Originally released in 1998, the album marked the first full-length hip-hop project from the iconic Stones Throw Records, cementing their legacy as a launching pad for independent artists.
The album showcases Rasco’s no-nonsense approach, focusing heavily on his prowess as an emcee and his commitment to preserving hip- hop’s authenticity. With a commanding voice and sharp, no-frills lyricism, Rasco delivers on every track, ensuring his presence is felt throughout.
Guest appearances from underground heavyweights like Dilated Peoples, Defari, Encore, and Planet Asia, along with contributions from turntablists Vin Roc, DJ Revolution, DJ Babu, and D-Styles. Meanwhile, an all-star production roster featuring Peanut Butter Wolf, Paul Nice, Kut Masta Kurt, and Fanatik provides a sonic foundation that perfectly complements Rasco’s rugged delivery. Highlights include the Fanatik-produced single “The Unassisted,” a stripped-down anthem that epitomizes late ‘90s indie hip-hop. Other standout tracks include “What It’s All About,” Peanut Butter Wolf’s “Hip Hop Essentials,” and the collaborative gems “Major League” and “Take It Back Home.”

DESCRIPTON
With Mom & Dad, veteran wordsmith Apathy delivers his most personal and conceptually rich project to date—an album steeped in nostalgia, anchored in sharp cultural critique, and draped in the breezy textures of his new “Shore Life” sound. The title nods to Ronald and Nancy Reagan, casting Apathy as a child of the '80s raised under the shadow of Reaganomics. But this isn't just a trip down memory lane—it's a reflective deep dive into the socio-political climate that shaped his youth, told with the masterful penmanship fans have come to expect from the CT legend.
The first release from his newly launched imprint, Anchors Up Rec, Mom & Dad showcases Apathy’s evolution as both emcee and producer. He helms the boards for 9 of the 12 tracks, crafting lush, sample-heavy beats that blend laid-back vibes with surgical precision. Additional production comes from rising star Playa Haze and longtime collaborator Little Vic.
Standout tracks include the haunting “Lee Harv” (feat. Little Vic), the soul-drenched “All Good,”and the sharp, shoreline serenade “WHALERS.” Guest spots from Suave-Ski, Slaine, Ryu, and Little Vic round out an album that’s both personal memoir and lyrical masterclass.
Mom & Dad is an essential listen from one of underground hip-hop’s most consistent voices.
